CUM MANIFESTO is a paper zine and this is our blog. We feature artwork that teeters on the line of pornography, "art porn" if you will. Pornography is a weird construct in our society and there are many arguments surrounding its positives and negatives. However, we are interested in the expressive aspect of it, the ways in which people interpret sexuality and how they choose to present that in an artistic and/or pornographic forum.

We compile creative interpretations of the human form through "art" (however "art" is defined).

We also enjoy "camp", "kitsch", niche styles of "pornography", and interpretations of fictional works in a pornographic or erotic context.

We particularly are fans of make believe and love the blend of pornography with science fiction and fantasy aesthetics.

We are not fond of the belief that partaking in pornography is "demeaning" or "degrading" to individual(s). That ideology reflects an oppressive abuser philosophy in which forms of sexual expression should be punished in some way. The negative commentary of that stance is one we do not accept. If these are your feelings, this is perhaps not a publication for you.

Sexual expression on film is a performance and we are smart enough to know the difference between performance and reality. Those who enjoy pornography for whatever reasons would be wise to educate and adapt a similar philosophy of respect for sex workers and artists who express themselves in any sexual context.

We support the full spectrum of sexuality and gender fluidity. We embrace all sexual experiences and artistic renderings. Thank you for joining us.

TO SUBMIT:

Each issue is themed so we are always looking for artwork related to a particular aesthetic. We do require that any nude individuals be 18 years or older to submit images. We also encourage any artwork made with "found" porn images (ex. collages; we particularly are fond of porn from the past and love retro porn).

We are currently taking artworks, photographs, drawings, collages or short writing submissions for our 3rd issue. The aesthetic theme is Rococo and early era S&M. Please email us at cummanifesto@gmail.com to pitch an idea. Thank you!
